March 2008 - MATRIX HOSTS KIDS CUT-A-THON AT GLOBAL ACADEMY TO BENEFIT EGPAF Matrix hosted its first "Give Big" Kids Cut-A-Thon at the Matrix Global Academy on Sunday, March 2nd. The event helped raise $10,000 for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Additionally, the national "Give Big" Kids Cut-A-Thon will take place at Matrix salons nationwide on Sunday, March 30th. Total donations to Glaser from this program will be more than $75K.

A team of more than 80 Matrix volunteers were on-hand to provide nearly 200 kiddie cuts and even some blow outs for their Moms. Along with their professional cut, kids received a VIP gift bag filled with toys, Matrix products, and the latest issue of Cookie Magazine - all for a suggested donation of $20.

Kids were entertained with interactive play stations complete with a Cookie cover photo shoot area, balloon artists, books and toys for all ages. Celebrity guests included ER-actress Gloria Reuben and leading maternity fashion designer, Liz Lange. Press coverage has included CBS Morning News and Time Out New York among others.
