How do I give my long hair more interest? It always fall flat and looks the same.

Ask your stylist to cut some layers at the top, and if you want even more versatility, add a long, sideswept fringe. Place the sides and back lengths into a low ponytail, leaving a few strands astray to create a modern edge. Volumize the top by spritzing Amplify ThickLift Liquid Volumizer onto damp hair. Products for Curly Hair

I wanted to know if you could give me advice as to which product to buy. I have naturally curly hair about shoulder length. I have in the past used Paul Mitchell's Super Sculpt and have been pleased with that to a degree. I know that I will probably need some strength behind whatever styling product you suggest. Would you have a sample of the product you choose for me to try?

Taking into consideration the product you are currently using, it sounds like you are looking for a firm holding product that will give your curls a lot of definition. I am going to suggest a few products for you to try and then choose which one(s) you think would best suit your hair.

Biolage Gelee will give your hair firm control, body, and shine. It contains wonderful conditioning botanicals such as Hibiscus and Mallow. Use Gelee on wet hair, comb through to distribute evenly, then diffuse or air dry.
Amplify Spray Gel is a volumizing firm holding styler that will give your hair body and volume with lots of shine. Apply Amplify Spray Gel on wet hair then diffuse or air dry. You can also spray additional product for extra control and shine as your hair is drying.

Amplify Gel-Wax (a personal favorite) will give your curls the shine, control and frizz management of a wax and the gel will give your curls medium to firm control. Apply product to damp hair, comb through to distribute evenly, then diffuse or air dry. For additional control, use Amplify Spray Gel while drying. With the Amplify Gel-Wax, you have the best of both worlds.

If your hair is fine, try Big Trix, which is a boost-it mousse. Big Trix will give your hair shine, definition, and firm control, but the best of all it that this product builds incredible volume into your hair.

Preventing Dry Hair

I want to try your new products for curly hair. Mine is wavy/curly, fine, brown, some gray on the top roots area with lighter ends and top layer due to the environment. I just have a brownish gold color pulled through. I live in Arizona, so it is dry!

I want moisture yet some separation in the curls. I see the Biolage curl define cream and the curl contour milk. What is the difference? Should I also use a wax or something at the end?

Also, at times I blow it out, what is the best to use for smoothing hair such as mine yet giving it body?

You mention that you live in Arizona and the sun can affect hair color a great deal, so I want to address that first because I think you'll love this product recommendation. Try the Biolage Earthtones. Earthtones are a line of Color Refreshing Conditioners that deposit beautiful, rich tonality back into your hair. The richer your hair color looks, the healthier your curls will look. The colors I suggest for you is mixing Natural Brown with Light Gold. Because of the environment in Arizona, I suggest the Contouring Milk because it will give a bit more control.
